Directions travelling from Dublin
Follow the N7/N8 South from Dublin (Cork/Limerick/Killarney) until you reach the outskirts of Portlaoise town. There is a junction to the left (South-Cork) on the carriageway onto the N8. (If you miss it you could find yourself heading for Limerick. You must turn back if that happens!). Stay on the N8 for 60 miles approx. until you reach the outskirts of Cashel. (The famous Rock of Cashel on your right as you approach the town). You can choose to stay on the new road (first exit) or take the second exit into the city of Cashel. Otherwise follow the N8 to Exit 9 for Newinn/Clonmel R639 until you arrive in the village of Newinn. Make a left turn at the cross roads in the village onto the R687 for Clonmel. (Ignore the junction on your left as you come onto the R687). Stay on this road for approx. 4 miles until you come to Poulmucka, just past through the cross roads for 400yds and ‘Farrenwick Country House B & B’ sign is on your right.
Directions travelling from Cork
Depart the airport and follow the signs for the City until you arrive at the Douglas Road round-about. Take the route N25 East (E30) FOR Dublin/Waterford. This will lead you through the ‘Jack Lynch Tunnel’. As you exit the tunnel you are on the Dunkettle round-about. The second exit will get you onto the N8 (North) and Dublin. Stay with the N8 until you arrive at a junction for Cahir (pro. care) "get-in-lane" and turn right onto the N24 Waterford/Clonmel/Cahir. Follow N24 for two miles travelling East towards Clonmel when you reach a junction on your left for Fethard/Ballyclerihan. Follow this road until you arrive at Poulmucka on the intersection of R687 (Cashel/Clonmel). Make a right turn for Clonmel for 400yds and ‘Farrenwick Country House B & B’ sign is on your right.
Directions travelling from Rosslare/Waterford/Clonmel
Follow the N25 from Rosslare through New Ross and on to Waterford going West. As you approach Waterford City stay with N25 until you arrive at a roundabout that leads you to the City/Cork and also N24. The N24 is the 2nd exit. Follow this road until you arrive in Carrick-on Suir. Stay with N24 until you reach the Mongarrif Roundabout, within three miles of Clonmel Town Centre, take the second exit on this roundabout. Stay with this road (new N24) passing straight through all the roundabouts until you reach the Cahir Road Roundabout. Take the second exit off this roundabout for 4 miles until you come to Barne Lodge Pub (on your left). Immediately past the pub, take the right junction ('Farrenwick B & B' sign post) for Cashel (R687). Two miles towards Cashel and Farrenwick Country House B & B is on your left.
Directions travelling from Waterford
Follow the N24 going West, (Limerick/Clonmel) either by going through Clonmel Town follow the N24 signs onto Western Road or by using the New By-pass take the second exit of the round-about (Mongariff) after Mordant Car Sales stay with the main road until you reach the Cahir Road round-about. Take the second exit for Cork/Limerick for 4 miles until you come to Barne Lodge Pub. Immediately past the pub, take the right junction ('Farrenwick B&B' sign post) for Cashel (R687). Two miles towards Cashel and Farrenwick Country House Bed and Breakfast is on your left.
Directions travelling from Cahir
Follow the N24 for two miles going East towards Clonmel/Waterford. Take the left junction for Ballyclerihan/Fethard/Coolmore for four miles until you reach the first cross-roads - Poulmucka (on R687). Turn right for Clonmel and 'Farrenwick B & B' is on your right 400 yards.
Directions travelling from Shannon
Follow the signs for Limerick City. Follow the signs for N24 (Waterford/Clonmel/ Tipperary, When you reach Tipperary Town follow the sign for Cashel/Golden on reaching Golden village centry follow the road (right turn) for Newinn. Carefully cross the road (N8) onto R687 heading for Clonmel. Farrenwick Country House is six miles distant on your right. Alternative route from Tipperary Town. Follow the N24 right through Bansha until you reach Cahir. Passing through the town follow the N24 for two miles going East towards Clonmel/Waterford. Take the left junction for Ballyclerihan/Fethard/Coolmore for four miles until you reach the first cross-roads - Poulmucka (on R687). Turn right for Clonmel and 'Farrenwick Country House B & B' is on your right 400 yards.
