GOLF
The golf enthusiasts are well facilitated in the Golf Clubs of Cahir, Clonmel, Carrick-on-Suir, Thurles and Tipperary. All clubs offer you the finest courses in Ireland. Cahir Park Golf Club is set in old parklands and enhanced by its magnificent variety of mature trees. Green fees facilities are available.
FISHING
The river Suir is one of the finest salmon and trout fisheries in the country. Local fishing clubs and private fishing owners provides fishing. Trout fishing permits are available on a daily/weekly basis - no licence is required. However both permit and licence are required for Salmon Fishing.
WALKING
Cahir and Clonmel are located at the foot of the Galtee and Knockmealdown mountain ranges. There are 'waymarked ways', loopwalks and forest walks, which will meet the needs of most walkers. There are also riverside walks near the town centres. The Nire Valley walk offers the hill walker an all year round challenge, as does the Galtee Vee Valley & Millennium Way.

Within walking distance from the town of Cahir there are two centres - Grangemore and Lisava centre. What better way to view the rich and varied countryside that we have here in Tipperary?
